Colorsplash

What color do you prefer, and what does that "mean"?

Part of what I really enjoy about Science is that I am passionate about learning, so here is something that I was reading about and wanted to look into a bit more. There are so many directions to take this, but this was just a fun hour or so doing a little research online.

Even though I enjoy science, learning-for me-doesn't have to be related to nature, it is fun for me to relate different concepts and ideas in new ways. Looking at the images below, which color grabs your eye? Look at the different colors, pick one, and then scroll to the bottom to see the color chart...

Did you pick your color? : )

Now what does it mean...

I personally would choose purple, so it's fun to think about why I choose purple, am I mysterious? I think I am sensual in that I really enjoy using my senses: sight, touch, taste, feel, and sound. My husband and I often talk about if we had to lose one sense, what would it be? I have a really hard time deciding, but I know that I couldn't lose my sense of smell, I love scents and what they can do for our memory.

To think that a color can have so much immediate impact about your environment, personality, or product makes total sense...but I admit that this is much more subconscious for me. For those of you in fashion or interior design, for example, this would be something you proactively think about on a much more constant basis. I know that I have a hard time myself putting together outfits and knowing what colors go together!

Here are a few images to play with style and interior decorating along with some of the emotions they evoke ; )

Red (attention-grabbing, exciting)

Green (refreshing, soothing)

Orange (happy, modern, playful)

Brown (stable, secure)

Purple (sensual, regal)

Black (elegant, bold, powerful)

Those are my thoughts and fun playing with colors and ideas for the afternoon, hope you enjoyed it!

Should YOU Join Scentsy?

Your Initial Monetary Investment:
$99 (plus shipping and tax) will get you started with the Scentsy Starter Kit (more to follow on this later).  After this initial investment, you will no longer be charged for shipping on 'business supplies’ (catalogs, order forms, mini testers) over $30 although I include these kinds of items with my Scentsy product orders when I can.  Whether you are doing in home, basket, fundraisers, or online parties, mini testers or party testers are a must, this is what will sell Scentsy for you!

Your Personal Investment:
The more you invest, the more you will get out of it. Scentsy requires that you submit at least one $150 PRV order every 3 months to stay active. If you don't make that minimum goal, your account with Scentsy will be terminated.  If you are interested in building your Scentsy business down the line and recruiting a team, you personally must sell $500 to be paid commissions from your down-line and your entire team must sell $1000 in wholesale.

As I said, the more you invest, the more you will get out of your business. If you sell 500 points in PRV during your first 15 days, you have the opportunity to purchase the Shooting Star Enhancement Kit. This kit will be yours for $200, and the products inside are valued at over $300! Contents will vary, but this is a great way to get your business started!

For the ambitious, there is also the Scentsational Start Program as pictured below, with great rewards for those who take a positive leap into their business!

Your Support System:
If you decide that I am the leader for you, I will be your direct supporter or up-line. My up-line Consultant is Rochelle Lamar, our up-line Star Director is Christa Stone, and our up-line SuperStar Director is Sandi Johnson. We are an awesome team, and have a great support network built to answer questions, bounce ideas off of, and keep us all feeling fresh and inspired. One great resource is our team page, where we learn about Scentsy news and challenges. Scentsy also offers great resources as well through newsletters, the News Tab on your Workstation, and weekly Conference Calls.

With your Starter Kit, you will receive a guidebook from Scentsy that details how to get started along with easy to follow instructions about all aspects of the business (you can also find this on your Workstation.) I have also compiled some quick and easy handouts that put a lot of this info on a couple pages to make it more simple.

This is a lot of information, and that's why I want to remind you again that I am your direct supporter. I am here to help you get your business going and help you along the way, but the more you initially invest, the better your business will be! The rest of our team is also happy to help you with questions, we all have them at some point!

Your Commission:
The compensation plan is also shown in table form in the Scentsy Catalog for easy reference.

-To start, you are called an Escential Consultant and are paid 20% of your retail sales.
-Once you hit $1,000 sales in your career, you are then called a Certified Consultant and are paid 25% of your retail sales.
-Upon sponsoring a recruit who becomes active, by selling $150 in one month, you are moved up to Lead Consultant where you are paid 25% of your sales (if you do $500 in sales personally and your team does $1,000 in wholesale). You can remain Lead Consultant for the length of time it takes you to sponsor 3 consultants and move up to the next rank.
-The titles continue to grow from there, but that gets you started on understanding the breakdown of the compensation chart

Your Breakdown:
We all want to know what the end numbers are. The answer is that the numbers you will see will depend on your own personal investment. The more you recruit, and the more you sell, the more you will see as results. Commission ranges from 20-30% plus bonuses from the sales from your downline. By setting goals, you will best achieve the results that you wish!

Your Discounts & Pay:
Scentsy does not give their consultants an initial percentage off of their purchases, instead you get your percentage from sales back the following month. Your commission will show up via a Scentsy VISA pay card on the 10th of each month. For example, May sales are accumulated from May 1 to May 31. May commissions are then loaded onto your card on June 10th. Please consider this if you are signing up in hopes of receiving special prices on their products. Any products you purchase that are not "business supplies" are eligible for commission.

Your Starter Kit:
Your Starter Kit has a great supply of things to get you started. Contents will vary, but will resemble the items shown in the photo below.
Your Website:
You will be supplied a free Scentsy website for your first 3 months, and after that it is $10 per month. In my opinion, this is a MUST! When customers search for consultants in your area, this is how they will find you!

To Sum it Up:
It is up to you to decide if Scentsy is the company and product for you. I started selling as a party-time job initially to challenge some of my own opportunities, while working full-time as a leader at a brick and mortar company. Now that I am a stay at home mom, I am changing my goals so that I can become a leader at Scentsy, as I love to work with a team, and I love to share Scentsy with others!
If you think that my team is the one for you, Join Me! I look forward to learning more about you as you learn more about the business. Together we will help achieve our goals and challenge our skills!

Feel free to Contact Me with any questions.
Have a super awesome day!
I'm super excited about the @Scentsy Charitable Cause Buddy - Roosevelt the Rabbit
https://superawesome.scentsy.us/Scentsy/Buy/Category/1276\

As a premie myself, I know the important role research plays in helping to keep babies healthy. Without funding towards programs like the March of Dimes, I probably wouldn't be here today! $6.50 from every Roosevelt the Rabbit $30 purchase goes towards March of Dimes...every little bit helps, and if we all work together, we can help raise a large donation towards this great cause!
